Upgrading SQL Server from 2000 to 20008R2

Hi there,

I have installed SQL server 2008R2 on my windows server machine and attached SQL database which was in SQL 2000, attached was successful and software is running perfectly, my question only attachment is enough or i have to create all tables, view, stored procedures again to get 100% result of SQL 2008R2. Right now I can't see any difference in speed or performance in SQL 2008R2. I shifted from 2000 to 2008R2 to get high speed and best performance.

Please share your ideas.
